My company Lifeworks works with people who want to get the very best out of their personal lives, relationships, careers and business.  I have a management background in various industries and have managed my own businesses for the past 25 years.  I have trained as a counsellor and am involved with Men@Work, (a men's support group) and the Virtues Project. I am happily married to Ros, have 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren.

Kylie Hawker, General Manager

Trustee since 2011.

I currently work as the Arts Coordinator with the Taupo District Council, and am on secondment to the Lake Taupo Arts Festival Trust as General Manager.  The Arts Festival Trust deliver the biennial 'Erupt Festival' as well as many other arts and culture activities in the Taupo district.  My community involvements have included Trustee of Lake Taupo Housing Trust, Trustee of Taupo Safer Community Trust, Taupo Plunket Committee Member, Founder of 'Cruising for a Cause' charity event and Foundation Trustee of Placemaking New Zealand; and I am currently the President-Elect for the Rotary Club of Taupo Expresso.  I was General Manager of Towncentre Taupo from 2008 to 2011 and prior to that worked as the Co-ordinator the Taupo Council of Social Services.  Whilst my 20 year career has predominantly focused on marketing and communications activities, I have always had a passion for community and philanthropy.

My partner Gareth and I have two preschool children, and in our spare time we love enjoying the natural beauty and many recreational activities that abound in the Taupo district. I am hugely passionate about Taupo - our people, our past, and our future - and am honoured to serve our community as a Trustee of the BayTrust.
