The Acorn Foundation is a Charitable Trust operating in Tauranga. It was established in 2003, to encourage people to consider leaving a gift in their will to benefit the local community forever. People can also make gifts during their lifetime to build up their fund and maximise the tax rebates now available.

Environment Bay of Plenty's environmental enhancement fund provides seed funding for community-based environmental projects in the Bay of Plenty.

Grassroots is a Charitable gaming machine trust operating under the gambling Act 2003 & is governed by the DIA. Grassroots Trust primarily fosters the amateur game of Rugby union within NZ.
Huckleberrys Sports & Charitable Society Inc.
Infinity Foundation contributes to many NZ community causes for community groups in a range of areas including Health, Sports & Education.
Kawerau District Council administers a number of services under their Grants and Funding Schemes such as Creative Communities, Community Grant, Development Feasibility Fund and Event Marketing Fund.
The Opotiki Community Trust grant helps to increase the Social and economic well-being in the community of the Opotiki district.
As a Charitable Trust our focus is on supporting communities all over New Zealand. We make a huge difference to a wide range of local causes each year by returning millions of dollars in gaming machine proceeds to New Zealand communities. What's unique about Pub Charity is our target of returning 95% of available donation funds right back into the community where they were raised. This means the gaming machines in Pub Charity venues really are supporting their local communities.

The Public Trust Special Business unit has William Lomas Cox Scholarships for the Eastern Bay of Plenty and the Smedley Station & Cadet Training Farm. The William Lomas Cox Memorial Scholarship supports Whakatane area students who wish to train as teachers, with emphasis on social science subjects. Smedley Station & Cadet Training Farm operates as a commercial farm as well as a self-funding training facility for 22 farming cadets. Smedley Station takes 11 first year cadets and 11 second year cadets who graduate after two years with a National Certificate in Agriculture, Level Four. Graduates go on to roles in the agricultural sector ranging from working on farms, to rural property advisors and rural finance experts, or to further education.
To assist individuals and groups achieve in any sphere of the creative arts in the Rotorua District. In particular, the Trust will encourage young people to develop their creative talents and provide opportunities for people of Rotorua city to experience high quality artistic and cultural events.
The Rotary Club of Tauranga was chartered on the 19th March 1945, with twenty-four foundation members. In 1971 the Club had eighty five members. Current membership stands at fifty and is a strong supporter of the Rotary Foundation, with currently twenty-two club members and many members of the community to date being honoured as Paul Harris fellows. The present club continues the tradition of Community Service.
Grants only for "Not for Profit" groups who support the 'social and cultural wellbeing's' of the Rotorua District Council will be eligible. Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust
Funding is available for charitable or energy related activities which have a clear ability to improve and benefit the Rotorua District Community. In general, funding is available for:

Organisations which provide services for those who may have been denied a quality of life enjoyed by the majority.

Community organisations which offer their services for the benefit or enjoyment of the public and contribute to community well-being.

Groups which give their time and resources to helping social problems.

Organisations undertaking energy-related charitable activities.
Round Table New Zealand (RTNZ) is a National Association of Tables (Clubs) spread throughout New Zealand comprising of responsible young men between the ages of 18 and 45 years. RTNZ offers a practical means of self development, enlarging friendships, participating in community service and promoting international understanding and goodwill.
Council allocates funding annually that is distributed by three independent organisations. Sports funding is handled by the Taupo Sports Advisory Council. Social Services funding is handled by Waiora Community Trust. Arts funding is handled by the Community Arts Council. A partnership between Creative New Zealand and Taupo District Council provides funding support for community based arts activities through the Creative Community Scheme.
The only funds Tauranga City Council has available are Event Investment funds. $200,000 is allocated each year to Flagship Events & small to medium projects. There are four sources of funding, (1) Community Assistance Fund, (2) Events Investment Funds, (3) Stewart Trust for relief of poverty and (4) Carruthers Trust for maintainence to houses for the elderly.
If you are between the ages of 12-24 you may be able to participate in one of the Ministry’s programmes or services. They offer you a chance to get practical work and life skills to help you in finding employment. All of our programmes are fun and include work experience, community projects, recreation activities and educational skills. They will also give you a better understanding of your local community and environment.

The main aim of the fund is to offer support to organisations and individuals with an activity or project that fits with Council’s long term plan and that benefits the residents and ratepayers of the Western Bay of Plenty District Council. Priority will be given to specific community based projects and community groups or individuals who are planning such projects.
