BayTrust is the name of The Bay of Plenty Community Trust which makes grants to community groups serving the Bay, in order to help build, strengthen and enhance local Communities.
In the year to March 2010 the Trust paid out grants totalling over $1.57m to groups serving Bay of Plenty Communities.
Trustees will consider grants for organisations and projects which help build, strengthen or enhance Bay of Plenty Communities.
Where does the Trust get its money?
The Trust has approximately $137m invested in a carefully planned, diversified way, both locally and globally. Returns from these investments form the Trust's income.
The Trust also welcomes bequests from public-spirited people who wish to leave legacies for the benefit of Bay Communities.
The Trust will consider grants for organisations and projects which significantly help build, strengthen or enhance Bay of Plenty Communities.
For applications less than $20,000, complete and submit an application form. For $20,000 or more please discuss with Community Development Advisor.
The Trust operates and funds the Dillon Scholarship which provides financial assistance to people who have significant disabilities and who will be undertaking tertiary education.
